This double lesson introduces learners to ethics and environmental ethics.Real life examples with questions based on Nike, Primark, Apple. Interesting clips from youtube documentaries to show what working at some of these companies is really like.
Plenty of 3 mark questions, a 6 and 12 mark question with guidance and model answers to improve exam technique and self assessment.

Three lessons here to introduces learner to the impact of multinational companies, we start by looking at Nike as a MNC, then go on to look at Foxconn (usually a company students haven’t heard of until they realise all their electronics are made there).
We look at the pros and cons of MNCs, then go on to read a concise case study on a proposed Dam project by two MNCs in Chile which is met with protests. Structure guidance is given and a model answer to help students with peer assessment and exam technique development.
In the third lesson, we look at GlaxoSmithKline and their role in developing the economies of Africa, a case study showing how they have invested and what their committments are is looked at and disucssed, students have a debate task for and against the effects of GSK on Africa, this is in a 12 mark question form too with a concise model answer to compare debate points with. This double lesson introduces learners methods of expanding a business, we look at how and why businesses expand, whilst considering the impact of economies and diseconomies of scale of growth. A range of case studies such as when Irn Bru took over Funkin Cocktail, the mergers of ebay and paypal, facebook and whatsapp. A case study on Dixons and Carphone warehouse merger with exam style questions attached.
In the second lesson we look at franchises as a method of growth, we look at the pros and cons and apply it to Subway, a 6 mark question with a model answer for students to aspire to and peer assess.

This lesson introduces learners to different types of corporate strategy such as Ansoff’s Matrix and Porter’s strategic matrix. We start by looking at Ansoff’s and the four types of strategies involved here, each with their pros and cons. We then go on to read a brief case study on a plumbing company, wth a 4 mark question and a model answer to self assess with.
We then go on to look at Porter’s strategies, again each witht their pros and cons before looking at the difference between tactics and strategies. Finally a case study on Toyota and their strategy. This case study comes with a 4 and 10 mark question, both with guidance and concise model answers for peer assessment. An interactive kahoot quiz with the link to the game to consolidate the day’s learning.

This lesson introduces learners to factors that affect the success or failure of a business, financial and non-financial. We start by looking at what a SWOT analysis is and the types of questions we need to ask ourselves to find out our SWOT. We then contextualise with a few examples such as Mcdonald’s, Thornton’s and a brief sorting activity with Apples SWOT.
We then go on to look at a concise case study on BHP the large mining company, students can work in pairs or a group to assess the companies position using SWOT, the outcomes of this can be used to answer a 12 mark question based on the case study. A concise model answer is included for students to peer assess. We finish off by looking at ways to interpret the performance of a business before two kahoot quizzes (one on SWOT and one on unit 1) to end the unit!

This set of resources includes 2x ppts, 3 words files and can be delivered over 3-4 lessons. Learners are introduced to ways of raising capital from within and outside the business. We look at the various types of finance (for this spec) with their pros and cons. We then look at a concise case study of a firm that requires capital but wants to only use internal finance - a 12 mark question on this with structure guidance and a concise model answer for students to use when peer assessing. A peer assessment grid and how it is used by examiners is provided for students to make improves on WWW and EBI.
We then go on to consolidating the knowledge with some matching and recall activities before a group activity, students are put into groups and given scenarios that require finance, students decide which sources of finance are most appropriate for scenario and present ideas back to class. Class then decides who the weakest link is (encouraging application and evaluation skills)
A case study and 12 mark question on venture capital is included, structure guidance and a concise model answer is provided to help students develop their exam technique. A link to a kahoot quiz and box plenary to finish off with. I have found this to be a very engaging set of lessons personally.

This double lesson introduces learners to the various digital and non-digital types of advertising medium used. We start off by looking at what advertising, before watching some TV ads. There are quite a lot of methods students to need to know along with their pros and cons so there are a few days this can be delivered. An independent research task where students find the pros and cons for either digital or non-digital and then feedback to class. A walk around the class activity where students find the pros and cons of the advertising methods and compelte their tables with notes, or this can be delivered as a matching task to be done on tables in groups.

3.5.2 Analysing financial performance
3.5.4 Making financial decisions: improving cash flow and profits
This set of resources includes 5x PPTs which can be delivered over 9 lessons (around 200 slides of engaging and interactive learning) and 20x word files consisting of calculation, exam practice, games and answer sheets.
Learners are introduced to revenue and costs first, as this is the foundation for the rest of the unit. We then look at budgets, cash flow forecasts, break even and finally profitability. Lots of calculation activities with answers as well as exam questions. We also look at how to improve cash flow and profitability, which comes under 3.5.4, however this bundle has both 3.5.2 and 3.5.4 due the close link.
